CLIMATE CHANGE PROJECT

We have seen a big climate change wave in the world during our generation and we cannot just let it control us when we have a chance to reduce it. We therefore, have GREEN WORLD project that looks at planting indigenous tree species in different regions with the help of the communities. In this case, our plan is not to buy land, rather provide seedlings to people who can plant these trees around their homes, plantations and in communally owned regions that will help make the areas go green again. We also advocate for fast growing trees that can be used by the communities to get timber and preserve the natural species hence a big reduction in deforestation.

Child Support

Just like David Vitter quoted, ‘I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams’. With this in mind, at Child Help Uganda, we focus on finding different children that need the required support to help develop their skills according to their capabilities. 50% of the children in Uganda drop out of school at different education levels and some don’t attend school at all due to the high poverty levels in the different families where parents earn just for survival. The recent corona virus pandemic has left more than 75% children as school dropouts as they cannot afford online tutorials.

At Child Help Uganda, we focus on finding sponsors, non-profit organisations that can help support the vulnerable children in different regions of the country attain a meaningful education that can change their lives in the long run.

Hunger concept

Hunger is not an essential service but food is a daily need to everyone, but due to the unexpected climate change, pandemics and worldwide disasters, a lot of families and people in different regions have experienced famines and droughts that have caused low or no food productions hence starving in the regions that has caused immense deaths. Uganda in particular has regions where families can only access a meal a day, which has led to malnutrition among children in these communities, and this has forced us to include a hunger project that will help feed families in the most vulnerable communities. Water Project

Water Project

‘Water is life’ always says Monty Wright, the founder of an amazing non-profit organisation that helps build water sources for the people in eastern Uganda. Despite having a wide range of water source all over the country, a lot of these are rivers, lakes, ponds, swamps, underground springs that are all untreated and not safe for drinking nor home usage. This causes a wide range of water borne diseases which causes death in most infants as well as adults in most areas of the country. We have therefore, created a plan to improve unprotected water sources into protected and clean water sources that can be utilised by people at a free cost and help improve their livelihoods.

Uganda being a tropical  country that experiences a tropical kind of climate, we are blessed with two annual rain seasons as well as dry seasons, although some parts of the country and much drier and do not receive enough rainfall. We have therefore put a plan in place to help in rain water harvesting, which can be preserved and used by the households in the future.
